West London Skills Training (The Arch) is unique.
The Arch has grown significantly since becoming involved in training some four years ago. Over the past two years, learner numbers have grown significantly. Last year we worked with 150 pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship learners. This year we will be looking to increase our learner numbers and turnover by at least 50%, whilst retaining our learner-centred approach that helps all our learners achieve their full potential. 97% of our learners complete their programmes and over 95% progress into employment.
As the company grows, we are mindful of the need to maintain our ‘uniqueness’ that is built around the level of support we offer to our learners, many of whom have difficult circumstances and a range of personal issues. We are also mindful of our role in the West London community.
Our success is built on an innovative approach, and clear strategic goals linked to effective target setting, implementation and monitoring. We are currently looking to develop a greater range of courses, our own training restaurants and to further develop our provision for schools.
We are also currently further revising our quality systems and processes to ensure we meet the financial, operational and strategic targets we set through our Quality Improvement Plan.
